SIERŚCI I WINA
AKELI
It’s a two-person collective that consists of me and my dog, Aleksander Akimov. "AKELI" is a combination of our names and means exactly the opposite of the Hindi word akeli, which means alone.
Our first collaboration began when Aki allowed me to use his fur and combine it with hemoglobin, which is a part of his diet. I found it beautiful that I could mix together something Aki digests with something his body creates using nutrients.
But he protested against using his food for art (and I agreed with him). A metaphor is just as fine in art, so I made a ritual change for every painting, shifting from blood to wine.
